Due to the increase of illegal drug use in the country, we find it necessary to state Unique’s policy on the matter. We proudly maintain a drug-free work place and strictly prohibit manufacturing, distributing, dispensing, possessing or using a controlled substance in our offices or our clients’ work places. Under no circumstances shall an employee arrive at a work place under the influence of a controlled substance.
If this bylaw is violated and it is proven to be violating, the employee will be immediately dismissed with cause from both the particular assignment and the agency, and will be reported to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities.
Only those employees participating in our health plan will be eligible for any assistance for substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation and counseling.
Smoking: Most of our clients have a non-smoking policy in effect. If you smoke, you must inform us so that we can inform the client, as it may present a problem and start you off on the wrong foot. We aim to create a happy environment for both our employees and our clients. We will appreciate any help you can give us to achieve this goal.
